I-4-0-3.General Structure of Court Case Processing in OAO

Last Update: 9/13/05 (Transmittal I-4-15)

As more fully explained in the HALLEX sections which follow, court case processing within OAO generally is performed by functional components which have been operational for several years, including, for example, the Office of the Executive Director, the Administrative Appeals Judges (AAJs) and their co-located Disability Program Branches (DPBs) and the Retirement and Survivors Insurance and Supplemental Security Income branch (generally called the RSI/SSI branch).

In addition, as a result of changes in our court case processing methods made in 1995, new functional components were created to perform specialized procedures needed for the prompt and uniform processing of court cases. These components are the CCPRBs.
