I-4-3-41.Time-Limited Remand Report

Last Update: 9/13/05 (Transmittal I-4-15)

A. General

OAO monitors time-limited court remands with a biweekly tracking report. OAO tracks each case from the time it is first received until it is remanded to an ALJ or the AC issues a decision without remanding the case to an ALJ.

B. Completing the Report

Upon receipt of a new time-limited remand, the support staff designates the case on LOTS as a time-limited remand, together with the due date and the reason for the time limitation. As part of the monthly case processing report, LOTS automatically generates the time-limited remand report based on the data entered into the system by the support staff.

If the AC remands the case to an ALJ, or if the Commissioner's final decision on remand is issued by the AC without remand to an ALJ, the support staff must enter the disposition date, type of disposition and the OHA CCS code for the CF destination into the LOTS or ACAPS system.
