Background

This transmittal amends section I-3-6-1 in the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual to reflect the current business processes for Office of Appellate Operations (OAO) notices granting review.

Explanation of Content and Changes

I-3-6-1 – We changed the title of the section to “Prior Notice to Claimant When Granting Request for Review.”

I-3-6-1 A – We made minor editorial and formatting changes to this section and added the authority for the difference in processing in the 11th Circuit.

I-3-6-1 B – We revised the title to “Notice of Grant Review Action” to more accurately reflect the purpose of the subsection. We removed outdated information and made other minor editorial and formatting changes.

I-3-6-1 C – We revised the title to “Proffering Evidence” to more accurately reflect the purpose of the subsection. We removed outdated information and made other minor editorial and formatting changes.

I-3-6-1 D – We revised the title to “Preparing Recommendation for AC” to more accurately reflect the title of the provision. We updated the procedures and made other minor editorial and formatting changes.
