Number: 111-15 President Signs H.R. 1388, The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act (Public Law 111-13) On April 21, 2009, the President signed H.R. 1388, the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act. The Act has been designated Public Law 111-13. On March 26, 2009, the Senate amended and passed the bill as introduced by the House. On March 31, 2009, the House approved the Senate amendments to the bill. Descriptions of the SSA-related provisions in the new law may be found in Legislative Bulletin 111-14.
