Senate Passes H.R. 3325,
WIPA and PABSS Reauthorization Act of 2009

On August 6, 2009, the Senate passed H.R. 3325, the “WIPA and PABSS Reauthorization Act of 2009,” without amendment by unanimous consent. The legislation is identical to the bill passed by the House on July 28th (see Legislative Bulletin 111-18) in that it would extend funding authorization for the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance program and the Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security program through fiscal year 2010.

H.R. 3325 will now be sent to the President for his action. It is anticipated that he will sign the bill.
