I-2-7-10.Posthearing Development
Last Update: 4/17/15 (Transmittal I-2-140)
Most posthearing actions involve the development and receipt of additional evidence. The administrative law judge is responsible for directing all posthearing case development actions.
When development is required, hearing office staff will use the same general development procedures that apply in prehearing situations, as outlined throughout Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law manual I-2-5. If the claim involves an electronic claim(s) file, see also the hearing office Standard Hearings Operations Procedure section 5, Post Hearing Development and Review.
