Background

This transmittal amends section I-1-9-10 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual to make conforming language changes by replacing the word “ban” with “restricted from receiving in-person service.” We also made minor editorial changes.

Explanation of Content and Changes

HALLEX I-1-9-10 is amended as follows:

I-1-9-10 – We changed the title to “Alternative Service Letter Procedures.” We also made other conforming language changes throughout the section to replace the word “ban” with “restricted from receiving in-person service.”
