Background

This transmittal amends Chapter I-2-8 in the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual. The amendments represent changes necessary because the “FIT for Representatives” software is no longer available.

Explanation of Content and Changes

I-2-8-13 – We renamed the section, “Brief or Written Statement Supplied by Claimant or Representative in Support of a Fully Favorable Decision.” We modified the instructions to authorize claimants and representatives to submit a brief or written statement, rather than proposed decisional language, in support of a fully favorable decision. We removed references to submitting proposed checksheets for oral bench decisions and to Section I-2-8-98.

I-2-8-98 – We removed this Exhibit because we are no longer permitting the submission of proposed checksheets for oral bench decisions. In addition, we provide information on submitting a brief or written statement in revised I-2-8-13.
