Background

This transmittal amends chapter I-2-5 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual to update instructions for obtaining earnings information.

Explanation of Content and Changes

HALLEX I-2-5 was amended as follows:

I-2-5-72 – We moved the information to HALLEX I-2-5-74 and removed the section in its entirety.

I-2-5-74 A – We moved the information previously in subsection A to subsection B, and retitled the subsection “General.” We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-2-5-72, updating the information and making other editorial and formatting changes as needed.

I-2-5-74 B – We moved the information previously in subsection B to subsection C, and retitled the subsection “Necessary Queries.” We incorporated information previously in subsection A, updating the information and making other editorial and formatting changes as needed. We added helpful references to the hearing level electronic business process and the Program Operations Manual System. We also added a NOTE referencing other queries that may be useful in case adjudication.

I-2-5-74 C – We deleted the information previously in subsection C as it was outdated, and retitled the subsection “Unposted Earnings.” We incorporated information previously in subsection B, removed outdated instruction, updated the information, and made other editorial and formatting changes as needed.
