Background

In March 1992, the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (LEX) Manual (HALLEX), Volume I was issued in a bound edition. Subsequently, in March 1993 a supplemental release was issued.

Explanation of Content and Changes

This transmittal reflects the HALLEX Release 2.A dated June 30, 1993. This is a complete new update of Volume I, Division 3 that incorporates all transmittals and includes minor revisions which are listed below:

Minor Revisions

• Revised addresses for P.O. Box Numbers to the Falls Church address, where appropriate

• Revised phone numbers prefix to 305

• Changed the title for Appeals Council Members to Administrative Appeals Judges

In addition, a copy of all transmittal sheets is included at the end of Division 3. This release also updates all prior pen and ink changes issued as Action Items for Volume I, Division 3.

Action

This issuance replaces the previous bound version and supplemental edition of Volume I, Division 3. Prior editions should be discarded upon receipt of this release.
