Background

This transmittal adds chapter I-4-6 to the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual as part of an overall reorganization of Division I-4. This reorganization organizes instructions in a manner that more closely mirrors the business practices of the Division of Civil Actions in the Office of Appellate Operations.

Explanation of Content and Changes

HALLEX I-4-6 is organized as follows:

I-4-6-1 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-1 without revision.

I-4-6-5 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-40 and changed references to HALLEX I-4-3-2, I-4-3-41, and I-4-3-35 to HALLEX I-4-6-10, I-4-6-6, and I-4-6-40, respectively.

I-4-6-6 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-41 without revision.

I-4-6-10 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-2 and changed references to HALLEX I-4-3-40 and I-4-3-42 to HALLEX I-4-6-5 and I-4-6-45, respectively.

I-4-6-12 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-3 without revision.

I-4-6-15 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-10 and changed references to HALEX I-4-3-1 and I-4-3-10 to HALLEX I-4-6-1 and I-4-6-15, respectively.

I-4-6-20 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-30 and changed a reference to HALLEX I-4-3-10 to HALLEX I-4-6-15.

I-4-6-25 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-31 and changed a reference to HALLEX I-4-3-32 to HALLEX I-4-6-30.

I-4-6-30 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-32 and changed references to HALLEX I-4-3-30 and I-4-3-31 to HALLEX I-4-6-20 and I-4-6-25, respectively.
