Subject: Supplemental Review
This transmittal amends Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual section I-4-4-10 to update procedures for adding new materials to the electronic folder and paper claim(s) files. Office of Hearings Operations and Office of Appellate Operations staff now retrieve paper claim(s) files with the hearing recording(s) from the Social Security Administration's National Records Center in Independence, Missouri, or if the claim is favorably decided, from the appropriate effectuating component.
HALLEX I-4-4-10 – We retitled subsection B, “Associating New Materials with the Claim(s) File of the Pending Court Case,” and updated procedures for adding new materials to the electronic folder and to paper claim(s) files. We also made minor editorial changes throughout the section.
