Background

This transmittal removes the following sections from chapter I-5-4 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual.

Explanation of Content and Changes

I-5-4-15 – We are removing and archiving this section because the instructions are not applicable to current case adjudication.

I-5-4-31 – We are removing and archiving this section because the instructions are not applicable to current case adjudication and contain outdated policy.

I-5-4-49 – We are removing and archiving this section because the instructions are not applicable to current case adjudication and contain outdated policy. AR 94-2(4), Lively v. Secretary of Health and Human Services, was rescinded on January 12, 2000, and replaced by AR 00-1(4) Albright v. Commissioner of the Social Security Administration. Instructions for interpreting Albright are found in HALLEX I-5-4-66.
