Grouped Uploads/Bulk Submission
Bulk submission refers to being able to submit evidence associated with
multiple individuals and multiple requests in a single upload.
The website provides the following two functions for the bulk submission of evidence:
- Send Grouped Files - allows a user to upload bulk MER evidence
- Send CE Report(s) with Scanned Signature - provides ability for
bulk submission of Consultative Examination reports
What do I select for this step?
- First note that your files must be separated into two piles; one
in which each file has a 2-D barcode on the first page and the other in
which there is no 2-D barcode on the first page. For more detailed information
on the rules and restrictions on packaging files, look further below.
- Select the first radio button if each and every file in your
package has a 2-D barcode on the first page. A 2-D barcode is a graphic
image that resembles the following:
- Select the second radio button if either of the following is true of all the files in your package:
- First page of document does not contain a 2-D barcode
- First page of document contains simple barcodes that resemble the following:

Rules and restrictions for bulk submission
- Individual files must be zipped together into a set of ZIP files. You can either combine
all the files into a single ZIP file or group them across multiple ZIP files. You can submit
up to eight ZIP files in a single upload.
- For the Send CE Report(s) with Scanned Signature function, the ZIP file restriction
is relaxed and you can upload individual files as well as ZIP files together.
- Only certain types of files are allowed within each ZIP file. This restriction
is stated on each upload page.
- A single file must contain evidence for a single individual.
- All files in a single upload must be destined for the same DDS office,
but can be associated with multiple individuals and requests.
- All files in a single upload must have the same barcode criterion. You must separate your evidence
into two piles; one pile in which each file has a 2-D barcode on the first page and the second
pile in which there is no 2-D barcode on the first page. Each pile must be submitted separately.
