Please provide details about your work for your employer. We will ask you about possible self-employment later.

You can work while you receive Social Security retirement benefits. If you do, it could mean a higher benefit for you. That can be important to you later in life. It also could increase the future benefit amounts your family and/or survivors may receive.

When you reach full retirement age, we will recompute your benefit amount to leave out the months when we reduced or withheld your benefits for excess earnings.

ALERT

If you work outside the United States, the rules about receiving benefits while you work are different.
