25th Anniversary
25th Anniversary of Social Security Issue - July 1960
The American Public Welfare Association (APWA) has published its influential journal "Public Welfare" since the 1930s. The July 1960 issue was a special issue devoted to a salute to the 25th anniversary of Social Security. This special issue contained essays by many of Social Security's most important pioneers--including Frances Perkins; Wilbur Cohen; Edwin Witte and many others. We are here reproducing that issue in full. Most of this material has been out of print for more than 35 years.
