Public Library Outreach

Social Security representatives participated in a community forum sponsored by the Prince George's County Public Library System, Senior Services Community Outreach.  The event was held at the Hyattsville Branch Library and was attended by community residents.  During the event, Prince George's County State Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) representative Mollie Gurian, provided information about Medicare plans, open enrollment period, and services offered by her agency.  Attendees also learned about contacting Social Security, reporting responsibilities, identity theft, online post-entitlement transactions, survivors benefits, Extra Help, and creating a my Social Security account.
