Social Security Administration Small Business Subcontracting Directory

Foreword

The primary objective of the Social Security Administration's (SSA) Small Business Program is to promote the socio-economic programs within SSA by aiding, counseling, assisting and protecting the interests of small business concerns.

This directory is published as a marketing aid for small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, HUBZone small business concerns, veteran and service disabled veteran owned small business seeking subcontracting opportunities with the SSA prime contractors. It is also intended to expand the participation of these concerns as subcontractors in providing products and services required by the SSA. Please note that updates to this directory will be posted periodically whenever changes are warranted.

Public Law 95-507 requires all organizations (except small business concerns) receiving contracts, amendments, and modifications exceeding $700,000 ($1,500,000 for construction) with subcontracting opportunities to prepare a subcontracting plan for the participation of small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, HUBZone small business, veteran and service disabled veteran owned small business in the organization's subcontracting program.

The Directory identifies: (1) the contract identification number, (2) the prime contractor's name and address, (3) the Small Business Liaison Officer’s name, telephone number and address, if different, and (4) the project title. Contact should be made with the prime contractor's Small Business Liaison Officer, who may have information about how your firm may join the prime’s subcontractor vendor team.
